Lofoten

White and Cold.
Not what I usually look for when it comes to vacation. Though, this trip was all about immerging myself into a quite and empty place, to give enough free space for my thoughts. To dive deeper into my mental layers.

Cinque Terre

Down my slopes there are
Vineyards and colorful houses
Down to the azure blue
Swimmers and little boats

Kythira

I did not choose to go and visit Kythira, it just happened to be on the way of the Catamaran I was on. We arrived at night in Kapsali bay, only the next morning could I see the little typical white Greek houses with their blue shutters.
ΚΑΛΩΣ ΗΡΘΑΤΕ [Kalos Irphate] : “Welcome” say the capital letters painted on the quay where we moored the boat. Well, I felt very welcomed on that little Ionian Island, ended up staying several weeks, not doing much: sleeping, swimming, hiking and running a bit, having drinks with the locals at Dimitri’s Café, trying to learn a few words of Greek, at least getting my ears used to this new melody. Yet, not doing much was perfect. I went back with one of the best lessons life taught me these past years, I have learned to loose my time. Τα λέμε Κύθηρα

Costiera Amalfitana

There are places that you were not aware of until one day a randomly seen image is enough to get it stuck in your mind.

There are places where you keep going close to and crossing without stopping by, looking like a knot of your travelling map. Places giving you the same impression as sometimes in life you seem to be turning in a circle, following and repeating the same patterns.

The Amalfi Coast is, for me, both these kinds of places.

Lago di Como

Grey Green and Blue
What does the postcard say?
A perfect colours mix
Pre-Alpine mountains in the background
Tropical trees of the well-kept gardens
Alongside the deep Blue of the lake
And to make it all better
Orange and Yellow dots of the little houses
Nothing to envy to the Riviera’s Colours!

Les Calanques

A “Whaou” out of my mouth even after hiking and running these trails dozens of times. The pine trees smell, the cicada songs, the Sun that warms our skins, which have kept a little salty taste after a swim. Let me take you to my playground, my next door vacations :)
